This year’s launch event will center around the theme of “Strengthening Civic Participation in Europe”. The webinar will aim to untangle the role of pro bono in civic space, where actors face increasing legal pressure, uncertainties, and challenges. This webinar will also provide a Global and European overview on civic space health, issues, and resilience, which will be discussed in more detail during the local events.

June 12: The Brussels Roundtable will be hosted by Reed Smith on Thursday 12 June - starting at 18:30. During the next edition we will present new opportunities to assist civil society organisations, discuss successful pro bono collaborations, and hear from the clearinghouses active in Brussels.

DLA Piper will host an in-person event in Prague during EPBW 2025, combining legal training on Czech labour law and business setup for Ukrainian refugees with a panel discussion featuring representatives from Pro Bono Alliance and UNHCR. The event aims to support refugee integration through practical legal guidance and shared experience.

June 11: During the France Pro Bono Week event, we will be announcing the launch of Pro Bono Recognition List in France and will have a panel on the developments in the US, their impact on NGOs in France, and what pro bono professionals can do to help.

Pro bono partnerships in times of social challenges
The event explores the challenges that non-profit organizations are facing in light of the current political situation and identifies legal support options through pro bono. Representatives from NPOs and committed law firms will discuss the most urgent issues.

June 10: In Hungary, PILnet organizes a pro bono convening in the second largest city in Hungary, together with 2024 Hungarian Pro Bono Award winner law firm Tran és Nemes Lawyers Association. The objective of the event is to promote pro bono opportunities amongst lawyers in the region and educate NGOs.

June 11: In 2024, the first EPBW Luxembourg event led to the creation of Pro Bono Luxembourg association. This year, it will host a hybrid event at DLA Piper on Wednesday, June 11 at 6 PM, featuring a panel discussion followed by a reception to continue promoting Luxembourg's pro bono culture.
