Where will the 2022 Global Forum take place?

What is the schedule for the Forum?

What is the Forum’s Covid-19 policy?

  • PILnet is committed to ensuring that this year’s Global Forum is a safe and healthy environment. We ask all participants to adhere to local Covid-19 protocols. You can find up-to-date information from the Ireland Department of Health regarding travel restrictions here and general public health policies here. 
  • We also ask that participants take necessary precautions while attending all of the Global Forum events and welcome those who wish to wear a mask.  We also ask that, if possible, participants test for Covid-19 prior to traveling to the Forum, though we will not request test results. PILnet will not provide masks or tests.
  • In case you are experiencing symptoms of respiratory or other types of communicable diseases, or have been in close contact with people who have been tested positive for Covid-19, please refrain from participating at the Forum events to ensure safety of others.
  • We will continue to monitor the Covid-19 situation and adjust protocols as necessary.

What is the dress code for the Global Forum?

  • The dress code is business for all Forum events. Culturally traditional attire is also appropriate.

What meals will be served during the Global Forum?

  • Lunch will be made available on Monday, for those participating in the professional meetings, Tuesday and Wednesday. Dinner will be served at the PILnet Awards Dinner on Tuesday evening. Coffee and snacks will be available throughout each day. 
  • When registering for the Forum, please indicate which days and events you plan to attend and if you have any dietary restrictions.

Will language interpretation be provided? 

  • Unfortunately no. The Global Forum is held in English.

Is the venue accessible for persons with disabilities?

  • Per the event venue, all meeting rooms are fully wheelchair and disabled accessible. If you require additional accommodations, please contact us at [email protected]

How do I register for the PILnet Global Forum?

How much does it cost to register for the PILnet Global Forum?

  • Large Law Firm Lawyers and Representatives (more than 200 lawyers in all offices): €950
  • In-house Counsel / Corporate Representatives / Solo Practitioners / Midsize Law Firm Lawyers (less than 200 lawyers in all offices): €500
  • NGOs / Nonprofits / Academia / Bar Association Staff: €200
  • Law School Students (ID required): €50

What is included in the registration fee?

  • Registration fees include all conference materials, participation in Forum sessions, evening receptions, lunches, and refreshments during breaks.

Can I register at the event?

  • No, all participants must register prior to the event, by the registration deadline.

Can I pay for multiple registrants at the same time?

  • Yes. When registering each participant, chose to pay via wire transfer. Then transfer the sum of registration fees for all of the participants as one payment, referring to the names of each participant you registered.

What is your cancellation and refund policy?

  • Refund requests must be made in writing to PILnet at [email protected]. Full refunds will be given for cancellations received on or before September 30, 2022 less a 15% processing charge. No refunds will be given for cancellations received after September 30, 2022.
  • If there is a Covid outbreak or changes in Ireland’s restrictions that require us to cancel the Forum, PILnet will endeavor to refund all or a portion of registration fees. 
  • For personal cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances after September 30, please contact [email protected].

Is funding available to help me with costs?

  • Participants are responsible for their own registration, travel, accommodations, and other costs associated with attending.
  • We unfortunately have very limited ability to assist participants in attending the Forum though the fees rate for NGOs and members of academia are already subsidized.
    • Speakers from NGOs or academia may be eligible for a fee waiver. To request such a waiver, please contact your session organizer. These will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Can I bring someone along with me to the PILnet Global Forum?

  • Every participant at the Forum must have their own ticket. If you would like to bring someone with you, please have them register and buy a ticket separately.

Can I participate in the 2022 PILnet Global Forum virtually?

  • Yes, we are offering virtual participation in the Forum. While we are planning for a robust in-person event and hope to see all of you in Dublin in October, we recognize that not everyone will be able to join us, so we will be streaming a limited portion of our programming. You can purchase your virtual ticket here.

What sessions can I participate in virtually?

What does a virtual ticket include?

  • A virtual ticket allows you live access to select sessions, the keynote address, and opening plenaries, along with the ability to ask questions in real time. Details for streaming and Slido virtual Q&A will be provided by Oct 14 to virtual registrants.

How do I get to the conference from the airport in Dublin?

  • The hotel is located in between Dublin Heuston Station and Connolly Station. LUAS operates from both stations and services the Jervis stop. From there, walk towards the River Liffey and cross at the Millennium Bridge. Walk southbound through Temple Bar and up George’s St. Take a right onto Stephens Street/Golden Lane and the hotel is on the right hand side. 
  • Dublin International Airport is 12km from the hotel with regular taxi & coach services from the airport to the city centre, with journey times averaging about 30-45mins.

What accommodations are available?

I am traveling from a region/country that requires a visa to enter Ireland. Can PILnet provide an invitation letter for my application?

  • Yes, PILnet can provide a visa invitation letter to any registered participant who has paid the registration fee. Requests must be made in writing to PILnet at [email protected].
  • PILnet is unable to provide any financial support and will not pay any of the costs of your visit to Ireland.
